Ingredients
  

  • 240 g ketchup
  • 120 ml red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 110 g brown sugar packed
  • 40 g molasses
  • 15 g Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 g smoked paprika
  • 3 g garlic powder
  • 3 g onion powder
  • 1 g ground black pepper
  • 2 g salt
  • 60 ml water
  • 18 g dry mustard powder
  • 0.5 g cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 2 dashes hot pepper sauce

Instructions
 

Mix Everything Together

  • Add all the ingredients to a medium saucepan and whisk until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth with no lumps.

Cook The Sauce

  • Set the pan over medium heat and bring it to a light simmer. Lower the heat and let it cook uncovered for about 20 minutes, stirring now and then, until the sauce thickens and looks glossy.

Cool And Serve

  • Take the pan off the heat and let the sauce cool slightly. It will continue to thicken as it cools. Taste and adjust seasoning or spice if needed. Serve warm or cold with ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, or burgers.
